Hey there, happy clients! đ
Iâm Aya Majed, co-founder of The German Outlet, and today⊠weâre finally sharing our story â our real story â with full transparency, trust, and excitement, just like weâve always promised. đ
đ How It All Began
The German Outlet wasnât born online. it actually started as a tiny physical store in Chiyah back in 2014.
At that time, my family was drowning in expenses â rent, university tuition, home bills â you name it. đž
Thatâs when my dad and my big sister had a crazy idea: âLetâs start selling small kitchen appliances.â
No assets. No experience. Just $100 in our pockets and a whole lot of hope.
We rented a small store in our neighborhood, took out a small loan, filled a few shelves, and waited for customers to walk in. My mom sat in that store all day, every day, smiling at anyone who passed by â even though our sales barely covered the rent. đ
After a year of giving it everything we had, nothing changed. So, with heavy hearts, we shut the doors. đ
Our first dream⊠failed.
âš The Spark That Changed Everything
Seven months later, we got that one call that changed our lives.
A loyal customer called my sister, Amany, in a panic â she needed an appliance that same day for a gathering. We told her, âThe storeâs been closed for months⊠but we still have the item in our warehouse if you want to pick it up.â
She was thrilled. She took the product â and she gave us the idea that lit the fire again:
đ âIf not a store⊠why not online?â
And just like that, The German Outlet went digital.
đȘ From Zero Knowledge to Non-Stop Effort
We had full-time jobs, no tech background, and zero clue about e-commerce. But we had excitement (like, 1000% level of excitement đ) and a whole lot of determination.
We took online courses, watched tutorials, made mistakes, fixed them, made new ones, and slowly â very slowly â we started receiving orders again.
For four years, we were just a normal online store â a father and his daughters packing orders, learning ads, and dreaming big, while our mom prayed for a miracle. đ
đȘïž The Crisis, The Comeback, and⊠The Viral Brush!
You think this is a success story already? Nope â plot twist! đ
Then came the economic crisis in Lebanon (2019).
We lost our first $3,000 because of the currency collapse and had no idea what to do next.
What rate should we use? How could we explain to customers that $1 was no longer 1,500 L.L.? We were stuck. Again.
And then⊠boom. Corona hit.
But life is funny â because thatâs when we went viral. đ„
Our best-selling product, the Revlon Hot Brush Volumizer, took the internet (and our hearts) by storm. đ©·
Even through the chaos â health scares, dollar rates skyrocketing, working fully from home â we pushed harder than ever.
We partnered with new brands, learned how to run ads, built our loyalty program, launched installment plans to help customers buy easily, and grew a loving, supportive community online.
For the first time⊠we started seeing real profits.
2023 was our golden year â the peak of TGO. đ
We had over 12 partner companies, direct German suppliers, and worked with 3 delivery companies to make sure every order arrived on time.
TGO became our full-time job, our dream, and our pride.
đŹ What Makes Us Different
Through all the ups and downs, one thing has never changed â our customer service. đŹ
Itâs what truly sets us apart, and itâs a promise weâll keep forever:
To serve you with honesty, kindness, and the same energy we started with â no matter what. đȘ
đ And Today⊠A New Chapter Begins
Fast forward to now â two years after the war in Lebanon.
Weâve been hit hard. We lost a lot. Weâre rebuilding from zero again.
But hereâs the thing about The German Outlet â we donât quit.
We started from nothing once, and weâll do it again.
So here we are â with the same passion, same mission, and the same dream:
To bring you the best home, kitchen, and beauty appliances at the best prices, with the love and care of a family that truly gets it. â€ïž
Thank you for being part of our journey â through every up, down, and miracle in between.
With love and endless gratitude,
Aya Majed & The German Outlet Family đ€
